| Geotechnical Monitoring | | Retaining Wall Monitoring |
Strainstall supply and install retaining wall monitoring systems that provide warnings in the event that the retaining wall or retained earth moves, or conditions change such that movement could happen. In-place inclinometers, water level piezometers, strain gauges, earth pressure cells, tiltmeters and annular load cells can all be used to help identify the location, mode and magnitude of potential failure by detecting loads, pressures, strains, movement and ground water levels and pressures.
A display PC can provide a simple user interface which is updated in real time, to indicate if ground conditions present a risk of failure or if movement has actually been detected. The operational health of the system is also displayed, and should the main telecoms communication fail a backup GSM modem is available to allow manual data
collection from
the site system.
