Monitoring Instrumentation

Strainstall has access to a wide range of sensors and instruments for hire or for sale that can be deployed at short notice. Our practical skill is in the selection of the most appropriate monitoring instrumentation for specific applications, and then installing it at our client' sites. We source sensors and instruments from the leading manufacturers and are a representitive of Geokon Inc, manufacturers of geotechnical and structural monitoring transducers. The sensors and systems commonly used within the civil engineering industry are ruggedised to suit the environment.

There are several data readout options, ranging from handheld devices to full computer controlled monitoring systems, with remote access to data. We have supplied and installed strain gauges and thermocouples for performance monitoring of various new forms of construction, as part of the design validation phase. Projects have included geothermal piles and new forms of post-tensioned slab construction, with no secondary reinforcement.
