Over the years, Strainstall has undertaken all types of stress analysis and design verification work for the marine and shipping industries. A few examples include torque testing to check speed performance, with measurement of shaft speed, vibration and any other parameters which may provide answers to loss of power; shock testing for the US Navy and stress monitoring of a link span to enable ferry docking in rougher seas than was previously possible.
Our Marine Division also provides bespoke monitoring systems for hull stress, docking and mooring.
