| Structural Monitoring | | In-situ Stress Measurement |
Manufacturing or construction processes nearly always induce stresses into the end product or structure, so knowledge of the in-situ stress is therefore important in enabling accurate assessments for load capacity and fatigue life to be made. Strainstall has developed a range of in-situ stress measurement techniques, which are widely applied across civil/bridge engineering and mechanical engineering projects. These are based upon instrumented stress relief techniques which include instrumented coring for concrete, instrumented drilling for steel beams, reinforcement bars and post tensioning tendons, and pressure compensation slot cutting for concrete and masonry.
