Cracks occur in most buildings and civil engineering structures, which may turn out to be insignificant or could be the first sign of a serious defect. Monitoring the changes in crack size is an important diagnostic tool for determining the cause and specifying the remedial work where required. Strainstall have installed many crack monitoring systems that investigate crack behaviour under both dynamic and static loading, using a range of sensors and high speed data acquisition systems. All relevent data is presented to clients in a clear and consise format, enabling them to make risk assessment decisions as appropriate.
