CAPWAP (Case Pile Wave Analysis Program) is a rigorous numerical analysis which models the pile and soil behaviour to allow full and accurate analysis of PDA field data. It involves applying the measured pile top force and velocity-time as a boundary condition to a wave equation model of the pile.
The result produced provide total pile bearing capacity, resistance distribution, dynamic soil response and a simulated static load test. Pile settlement predictions obtained by CAPWAP have been extensively compared with static load tests, with excellent correlation between the two. This unequalled wealth of comparative data has provided upmost confidence in CAPWAP results.
