In February 2011, Strainstall Monitoring Division opened a new office near Cambridge for a new special structures team.
John St Leger and Sarah Babin both previously worked at Atkins, one of the world's leading engineering and design consultancies, where they were the core of a team providing specialist consultancy services to a variety of clients, both within and outside the Atkins organisation. Strainstall Monitoring have worked with this team for around 13 years, and now under the Strainstall banner, they will continue to provide a consulting role within the civil and structural engineering sector, initially focusing mainly on bridge projects.
This is a great opportunity to bring onboard a team that is well-known and highly respected, particularly in the bridge engineering world. Not only should they be able to maintain and grow a healthy consultancy workload, but their involvement in the early stages of projects (that ultimately result in monitoring work being required) should expose Strainstall Monitoring to more opportunities. On a practical level, these new skills will also help the company when tendering for work in these areas and also for post job reporting and data analysis.
John will join the board of the Monitoring Division and Sarah will be a Senior Engineer. |
